LLC formation, filed by people who do it every day

You tell us the name, the state and who is behind it. We prepare the articles, file them with the state, and put the deadlines that follow on a calendar you can see.

What forming an LLC with us includes

A formation is not one filing. It is the articles, the agent the state requires you to name, the federal tax ID you will need before a bank will open an account, and — in a few states — a publication requirement with a deadline that starts running the day you are approved.

  • A name availability search before anything is filed, at no charge
  • Articles of organization prepared for the state you are forming in
  • Registered agent service, if you would rather not use your own address
  • Federal Tax ID (EIN) application
  • Your renewal and annual report dates, tracked from the day you are approved

Who we work with

Most of our work comes from accountants, attorneys and real estate professionals who form entities for their own clients — often several at once, often in states they do not practise in. The portal is built for that: a company can hold many entities, several orders settle on one payment, and every deadline across the portfolio is on one list.

It works just as well for one LLC. Nothing about the process assumes you have twenty.

What it costs

Two numbers, always separated: the fee the state charges, which is theirs and varies by state and entity type, and our fee for preparing and filing. You see both before you pay, and state fees are quoted as the current published rate — if a state changes it between your quote and the filing, we tell you rather than absorbing it quietly.

How it works

  1. 1

Tell us the name and the state

We check the name is available before anything is filed.

  2. 2

    Answer what the state asks

The form asks only what your state and entity type actually require — the questions change with both.

  3. 3

    We file it

You get the stamped documents in the portal, and the first-year deadlines on your calendar.

Questions people ask

How long does it take to form an LLC?

That depends on the state, and on whether you pay the state to expedite. Some approve the same day; others take weeks in their ordinary queue. We show the current turnaround we are seeing for your state, measured from our own completed orders rather than from a brochure, and expedited options where the state sells them.

Which state should I form in?

Usually the state you actually operate in. Forming in Delaware or Wyoming while doing business somewhere else generally means registering as a foreign entity in that other state too — two filings, two registered agents and two sets of annual fees. There are good reasons to choose otherwise, and they are worth a conversation before you file, not after.

Do I need an EIN as well?

You need one to open a business bank account, hire anyone, or file most business tax returns. A single-member LLC with no employees can sometimes use the owner’s social security number, but almost every bank will ask for an EIN anyway. We can apply for it as part of the formation.

What is a registered agent for an LLC?

A registered agent is the person or company an LLC names to receive legal papers on its behalf — lawsuits, subpoenas and official notices from the state. Every state requires one, the address must be a street address in the state of formation, and someone has to be there during business hours to sign for what arrives. Naming yourself is allowed in most states; it also means your home address is on the public record and that you have to be at it.
